Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has expanded its Dubai office with the hires of partners Raza Mithani and Alexander Sarac from King & Spalding and DLA Piper respectively.

Mithani, who led K&S’ commercial disputes practice in Dubai, represents clients in financial services, aerospace, defence, energy, construction and insurance matters.

Meanwhile Sarac, former legal director of DLA Piper’s finance and projects team in Dar es Salaam, joins BLP’s project finance practice. An expert in African corporate and regulatory matters, he advises clients on energy and infrastructure laws with a focus on East Africa.

With the additions of Mithani and Sarac, BLP has eight partners across its two Middle East offices.
