Prolegis, Herbert Smith Freehills’ associate law firm in Singapore, has hired corporate partner Eugene Lee from Latham & Watkins’ Hong Kong office.

Lee, who specialises in U.S. law, worked at Latham for 12 years. He was part of the team that advised China’s Everbright Securities its $1.3 billion initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last year.

Lee also had previous stints at other law firms, including Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Drew & Napier and Debevoise & Plimpton.

Founded in 2012, Prolegis focuses on corporate and commercial law. It entered into a formal law alliance with Herbert Smith Freehills in December 2015.
