Indian law firm Trilegal has welcomed Kannan Rahul as partner for its banking and finance practice from J Sagar Associates (JSA) in Mumbai.
Rahul specialises in international banking, project finance, trade finance, general corporate lending, bond issuances and restructuring.
Prior to his nearly three-year stint in JSA, Rahul was with ICICI Bank in Hong Kong, where he served as group head of the corporate legal team.
The year 2024 is poised to bring about significant transformation in the field of marketing operations for many law firms, according to several panellists at the Thomson Reuters Institute’s 31st Annual Law Firm Marketing Partner Forum held recently.
Indian law firm J. Sagar Associates continued its hiring streak with the addition of Anurag Shrivastav as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. Shrivastav was previously a counsel at Trilegal.
Pallavi Banerjee, most recently executive director and senior legal counsel at Goldman Sachs, is moving back to law firm practice as a banking and finance partner in Indian law firm Trilegal’s Mumbai office.
