Korean firm DR & AJU has snapped up two shipping dispute specialists from fellow local firms: Lee Sang-bong from Hwang Mok Park and Kim Dae-uk from Barun, both partners to its maritime, shipping and aviation team.

Lee focuses his practice on civil and commercial law, corporate law, antitrust, construction and real estate, and IT, while Kim focuses on corporate law, finance and securities, international transactions and cross-border dispute resolution, as well as compliance.

The firm now has five attorneys, including two foreign attorneys, in its maritime, shipping and aviation team, which was recently awarded the Shipping Law Firm of the Year at the ALB Korea Law Awards 2017.
