Resource Law, Reed Smith’s formal law alliance in Singapore, has added corporate expert Johnny Lim as a director from Shook Lin & Bok, where he was a partner.

Lim's hire is the second director-level lateral in the past few months, after Collin Seah in December who was from Quahe Woo & Palmer.

Lim’s practice focuses on cross-border M&A, joint ventures, capital markets private equity and venture capital. He advises on on bankruptcy protection, schemes of arrangement, judicial management, administration and liquidation across Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia.

Among his notable work, Lim has acted for XinRen Aluminum in a voluntary conditional cash offer made by DBS Bank for Merit Stand which valued XinRen at more than S$700 million.

Besides Lim and Seah, the firm has three other directors: Bernard Yee (managing director), Adrian Aw and Kohe Hasan.
