PwC’s Singapore member law firm, Eng and Co., has appointed corporate and capital markets lawyer Colin Ong as director from WongPartnership, where he was a partner.

Eng and Co. was launched last year by Rachel Eng, the former deputy chairman of WongPartnership. Ong’s arrival means the firm now has three directors; the third - Lynn Ariele Soh – was an associate at the Singapore Big Four firm between 2011 and 2015.

Ong who spent more than 16 years at WongPartnership across two stints, advises clients on corporate and fundraising activities, including initial public offerings, secondary and follow-on equity offerings, issuance of debt and perpetual securities, acquisitions and their other regulatory requirements.

Key work by Ong during his time at WongPartnership has included representing DBS Bank in BHG Retail REIT's $280 million IPO, and the bookrunners on Keppel DC REIT’s $390 million IPO.

Apart from his time at WongPartnership, Ong was at Latham & Watkins for two years.
