Singapore’s BlackOak has hired restructuring and insolvency specialist Debby Lim as a director from local firm Shook Lin & Bok, where she was an equity partner.

Lim focuses on commercial and insolvency-related disputes, and domestic and cross-border arbitration. She spent more than a decade at Shook Lin, prior to which she was at TSMP Law Corporation and Tan Kok Quan Partnership.

Following her appointment, Lim will be the fourth director at BlackOak, an insolvency-focused law firm that was launched in 2016.
