U.S. law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has hired corporate practitioner Wonsun Jung as a partner in Seoul from White & Case.

Jung advises public and private companies on cross-border M&A, investments, venture capital financings, strategic partnerships, licensing and distribution arrangements, and corporate governance. Her clients include South Korean conglomerates and companies in the energy, manufacturing, EV battery, chemicals, electronics, trading and retail sectors.

Jung also represents issuers and underwriters on capital markets transactions, including SEC-registered initial equity offerings and Rule 144A/Regulation S high-yield bond offerings.

Having previously worked with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Jung acted as in-house counsel for several South Korean companies prior to joining White & Case in 2019 as a local partner.

Jung’s addition has taken the number of Sheppard Mullin partners in Seoul to three.
