Allen & Overy has hired Nithi Laophulsuk as a partner in Bangkok from Standard Chartered Bank (Thai) PCL, where he was the head of legal and compliance.

Nithi’s work will focus on transactions, contentious and non-contentious work in regulated markets. In his previous role, he advised on the development of banking, capital markets and derivative products, licensing and documentation projects, as well as disputes, compliance, FCPA and anti-bribery matters.

Prior to joining StanChart, Nithi was in private practice with Hunton & Williams in Thailand.

Last week, A&O announced the appointment of Lina Lee and Jonathan Hsui as partners in its Hong Kong office from Ashurst.
