White & Case has hired private equity specialist Peggy Wang from Linklaters as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Wang advises private equity firms and financial institutions on M&A and other structured investments.

Wang is the second M&A lawyer to join White & Case from Linklaters in recent weeks, with former Linklaters Seoul-based counsel Kyungseok Kim joining the U.S. firm’s Hong Kong office in March.

“Private equity in Asia will continue to see increasing opportunities,” said White & Case’s newly appointed Asia head, Eric Berg, in a statement.

“Peggy’s arrival, following the recent arrival of corporate partner KS Kim, reflects our growing ambition to strengthen our M&A capabilities in Asia.”
