White & Case has hired Nels Hansen as a local partner in the firm's M&A practice in Tokyo from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he was an associate.

Hansen’s practice covers an extensive range of corporate transactions, and his expertise is in the TMT and energy sectors. He is a registered foreign attorney (gaikokuho jimu bengoshi) in Japan and a member of the Tokyo Bar Association.

At Skadden, Hansen advised on two notable joint ventures:  JExel Nuclear – a JV between Japan Atomic Power Company and Exelon Generation – in April and Nordic VR Startups – a JV between gumi and Nordisk Film A/S – in March.
