DeHeng Law Offices and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett have advised China vaping device manufacturer Smoore on its $885 million initial public offering in Hong Kong, with Reed Smith Richards Butler, Reed Smith and Zhong Lun Law Firm advising the sole sponsor Citic Securities.

Founded in 2009 in Shenzhen, Smoore produces vaping devices and offers vaping technology solutions. It was the world’s largest vaping device manufacturer in terms of revenue in 2019, and this IPO is the first one of the vaping device industry in China.

Conyers Dill & Pearman acted as offshore legal counsel in the deal.

The DeHeng team was led by partners Liu Zhenguo, Pu Hong; and the STB team was led by partner Christopher Wong.

The Zhong Lun team was led by partners Lai Jihong, Chen Limin, Zhao Yudong, Chen Jingeng, meanwhile the Reed Smith team included partners Denise Jong, Gregory Wang, Cori Goldberg and Steven Boranian.
