London-headquartered Charles Russell Speechlys (CRS) has expanded its private client offering in Hong Kong after hiring Ian Devereux as the head of that practice, and Silvia On as a partner. Both join from Stephenson Harwood, where they were partners.

Both Devereux and On advise high-net-worth individuals and families on issues such as including wills and probates, succession and estate planning, and setting up trust structures. Devereux also has real estate experience, acting for developers, investors, landlords and tenants in commercial, industrial and residential developments.

Devereux joined Stephenson Harwood in 1981, becoming a partner in 1988. Meanwhile, On was named as a partner at that firm in 2018.

CRS opened its Hong Kong office in 2017, and currently has six partners in the city, including On. The firm hired dispute resolution specialist Ray Ng from Ogier in December.
