Dentons has hired David Blumenfeld as the head of its Asia-Pacific real estate practice from Paul Hastings, where he held a similar role. He is based in Hong Kong.

Blumenfeld’s clientele includes private equity funds, financial institutions and investment banks. He has experience in equity and debt transactions, and China in-bound and out-bound real estate acquisition, joint venture, and financing transactions.

During his time at Paul Hastings, Blumenfield advised Ascent Real Estate Investors and Sigma Delta Partners Investment on the $1.34 billion acquisition of Dinghao Electronics Plaza in Beijing in 2016; represented China Life in the $1.65 billion acquisition of 1285 Avenue of the Americas in New York City; and counselled China Life on its partnership with Global Logistic Properties and two investors for the acquisition of U.S. logistics portfolio valued at approximately $4.5 billion.

Dentons now has 32 lawyers in Hong Kong, including 10 partners.
