Thailand-headquartered Tilleke & Gibbins has hired real estate and hospitality specialist Long Gia Nguyen as a partner in Ho Chi Minh City from Baker McKenzie.

The addition is expected to further strengthen Tilleke’s regional presence. Just last week, the firm became the latest member of Drew Network Asia, Singapore firm Drew & Napier’s regional law network.

Nguyen becomes Tilleke’s third lateral partner hire this year. The firm welcomed back Nuttaphol Arammuang, the former IP practice head at R&T Asia (Thailand), in June and hired five capital markets lawyers in Bangkok, led by partner Yaowarote Klinboon, from U.S. law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth in January.

With nearly two decades of experience, Nguyen advises on real estate and hospitality as well as M&A transactions, including property acquisitions, leasing and development, land use planning and financing.

Nguyen’s addition has taken the number of Tilleke partners in Vietnam to seven.
