Offshore law firm Appleby has hired two former Harneys investment funds lawyers in Hong Kong: Bronwyn King (L) joins as partner, while Grace Yeung joins as legal manager.

King, most recently partner and head of Asia-Pacific at the Cayman Islands-heaquartered Intertrust Law, was at Harneys Hong Kong until March 2021, leaving as a partner. She has more than 15 years of offshore experience, specialising in investment funds, asset management regulatory and general corporate transactions. King’s previous employers include Simmons & Simmons, and offshore firms Mourant Ozannes, Walkers, and Ogier.

Meanwhile, Yeung has more than eight years’ offshore and onshore experience in investment funds, asset management, regulatory and general corporate transactions, with a focus on fund formation in the private equity, venture capital and hedge fund sectors. She worked at Morrison & Forester and K&L Gates prior to joining Harneys in 2018.

Appleby currently has eight partners in Hong Kong, including investment funds partner Marc Parrott, who also joined from Harneys in June 2021.
