Indonesian boutique AVYA Law Firm has hired Dessy Tampi as a new partner to lead its Innovation & Technology Practice Group.

Tampi brings over five years of legal experience, with expertise in public administration, bankruptcy, and intellectual property law.

In her new role, Tampi will focus on the intersection of law and technology, covering areas such as data protection, artificial intelligence, blockchain, smart contracts, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). She will also structure complex startup investment models and advise on strategic corporate actions for tech companies.

Tampi’s prior employers include Indonesia's Ministry of Law and Human Rights and law firm Simbolon & Partners.

“We’re so proud to have Dessy to be part of our team. This energizes our firm to always keep pace with the growth of the industry and ongoing trends," said Alldo Fellix Januardy, managing partner of AVYA Law Firm to ALB. "To recruit a new talented lawyer who can adapt to the rise of technology, AI, NFT, and cryptocurrency is a fresh upgrade for our firm. Dessy’s robust knowledge in the area of intersection between law and technology can be a positive boost for our startup client pool.”

The appointment comes as law firms increasingly seek to bolster their expertise in emerging technologies to meet growing client demand in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Founded in 2018, AVYA now has four partners.
