Tokyo-based law firm Nozomi Sogo Attorneys at Law has hired disputes expert Michael Mroczek as a partner from Okuno & Partners. He becomes Nozomi Sogo’s first foreign partner.

Mroczek represents clients in arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce, Swiss Arbitration Center, and German Arbitration Institute, with focus on the technology, fashion and finance sectors.

Having started his legal career at Swiss law firm Stach Rechtsanwälte, Mroczek joined Okuno in 2013. He has been president of the European Business Council in Japan since February 2019, prior to which he served as the president of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan for four years.
