PRC firm Jingtian & Gongcheng has hired corporate finance lawyer Kelvan Cheung as a partner in its Hong Kong office from Deacons, the SAR’s largest local firm.

Cheung has more than 15 years of experience in the area of corporate finance. He advises on IPOs, M&As, private equity transactions, and regulatory compliance matters. Cheung joined Deacons more than 12 years ago, and was appointed as a partner in 2015.

Following the addition of Cheung, Jingtian’s Hong Kong office now has 11 partners, including Liu Wei, Du Jun and Jimmy Chan, who joined last year from DLA Piper, King & Wood Mallesons and Clifford Chance, respectively.
