Linklaters has hired Mark Veitch as the head of its Asia energy and infrastructure practice from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he led the front-end construction practice for Southeast Asia.

Veitch, who has more than 14 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure space, focuses on projects related to downstream hydrocarbons, industrial estates, manufacturing, transport and utility infrastructure and power.

Prior to joining HSF, where he spent a decade, Veitech worked with King & Spalding.
