Yuet Ming Tham, who left Sidley Austin in April this year to join McDermott Will & Emery as Singapore managing partner and Asia-Pacific head, has returned to the former firm as a partner in Singapore and global co-chair of the white-collar (government litigation and investigations) practice.

McDermott opened its Singapore office in July last year. In April, it hired a four-lawyer investigations and compliance team from Sidley Austin, including partners Tham and Shu Min Ho. Tham’s return to Sidley means that McDermott now has five partners in Singapore.

An expert in compliance and investigations and life sciences, Tham is also experienced in data privacy and cybersecurity. She spent more than a decade at Sidley during her first stint there, prior to which she worked at DLA Piper.
