Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has bolstered its banking and finance capabilities in Singapore with the addition of Beelee Seah from Baker McKenzie, where he was a local principal.

Seah has been advising on cross-border financing deals across South Asian loan markets, particularly Vietnam, for over a decade. He also has expertise in fund finance. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie in 2017, Seah worked at Ashurst and Linklaters.

“We are currently seeing huge demand across Southeast Asia, and Beelee’s outstanding experience - working in Singapore, Vietnam and the wider Asia-Pacific region - will enable us to further enhance our offering to our clients,” Yu-En Ong, head of Singapore at Norton Rose Fulbright, said in a statement.

The firm’s Singapore office saw the departure of banking partner Janelene Chen to U.S. law firm Mayer Brown in January. It also added international arbitration partner Kent Phillips from Hogan Lovells in November.
