Offshore law firm Campbells has hired litigator Stuart D'Addona as a partner in Hong Kong from rival Walkers, where he spent nearly a decade.

Stuart D'Addona’s expertise spans the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands law, with a focus on shareholder disputes, corporate governance issues, fraud and asset tracing, and urgent injunctive relief.

Specializing in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters, he advises investment funds, banks, publicly listed companies, high-net-worth individuals, and professional services firms.

Prior to his time at Walkers’ Singapore and Hong Kong offices, D'Addona worked at Australian law firms Gilbert + Tobin and MinterEllison.

He was named as one of the ALB Asia Top Offshore Litigators in 2021 and 2022.

“I have known Stuart for many years, having worked both with and against him on various matters. He is an extremely talented lawyer and is highly respected in the market,” said Shaun Folpp, managing partner of Campbells' Hong Kong office, in a statement.

The move comes as Campbells seeks to expand its presence in Hong Kong, a key financial hub in Asia. D'Addona's experience in family and private wealth matters is expected to strengthen the firm's offerings to private clients in the region.

The firm’s Hong Kong office now has seven partners, including banking and finance expert Paul Trewartha, who joined earlier this year from rival Mourant.
