Indian law firm Saraf & Partners has hired tax attorney Amit Gupta as a partner in its Delhi office.

Gupta was most recently a director at business advisory firm Nangia Andersen, which is a member firm of multinational business consultancy Andersen Global. He has also worked at Grant Thornton India, tax-focused law firm Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, and MPC Legal.

A lawyer and a chartered accountant, Gupta has over a decade of experience in providing solutions to clients in taxation and transaction advisory, Saraf & Partners said in a statement. He has also represent clients in complex tax litigation, the firm added.

Saraf & Partners, which spun off from law firm Luthra & Luthra in 2021 with 21 partners and total team of less than 100 lawyers, has grown to a 235-attorney practice with 35 partners across three cities in just over two years.

The firm last year relocated to larger office spaces in Mumbai and Noida.
