Sidley Austin has hired disputes specialist Stephanie Chan as a partner in Hong Kong from Reed Smith Richards Butler.

Chan joined Reed Smith as a partner in 2019, having previously worked at King & Wood Mallesons and Ashurst.

With more than 10 years of experience, Chan advises on cross-border contentious regulatory matters, commercial litigation and international arbitration including, contractual disputes, joint venture and shareholder disputes, fraud, enforcement of securities, debt recovery and regulatory investigations conducted by regulatory and enforcement authorities such as the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and Commercial Crime Bureau.

Her clients include corporations in sectors such as financial services, mining, real estate, entertainment, energy and manufacturing.

With her arrival, Sidley now has 22 partners in Hong Kong.
