Wong Chee Lin, who spent three decades at Malaysian law firm Skrine before a brief stint on the bench, has returned to the firm as a litigation partner in Kuala Lumpur.

Wong is Skrine’s third lateral partner hire in a month; the firm recently brought on board Islamic finance lawyers Hafidah Aman Hashim and Sharifah Shafika Alsagoff as partners.

A commercial litigation expert, Wong’s practice focuses on corporate restructuring and insolvency. Her experience covers banking and recovery work, shareholders’ disputes and directors’ duties.

After working for more than 30 years at Skrine, Wong became a judge of the Kuala Lumpur High Court in 2018. Her judgements included a landmark decision on the judicial management mechanism.
