Ashurst has advised a consortium by Hong Kong’s CK Infrastructure on its agreement to acquire a portfolio of onshore wind farms in the United Kingdom from Aviva Investors for around 350 million pounds ($450 million).

According to Reuters, the portfolio comprises 32 wind farms located in England, Scotland and Wales, totalling 175 MW in installed capacity and 137 MW in net attributable capacity.

The Ashurst team was led by partners Jason Radford and Jacob Gold, with support from partner Chin Yeoh. Partner Antony Skinner led on energy transition matters, while real estate, planning and environment support was provided by partners Jamie Chapman, Eleanor Reeves, and Charlie Reid. Partner Neil Cuninghame provided competition advice, while partner Nicholas Gardner supported on tax matters. Partner Sunny Kumar led on IP advice, with global loans advice provided by partner Tim Rennie.
