AZB & Partners has counselled Indian cosmetics-to-fashion platform Nykaa on its $711 million initial public offering on the BSE and NSE, with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Sidley Austin advising the lead managers, and Trilegal representing the selling shareholders.

According to Reuters, the IPO fetched the country's first women-led unicorn a valuation of nearly $14 billion. It added that Nykaa, founded in 2012, became popular by selling cosmetics and grooming products from domestic as well as international brands before expanding into fashion, pet care and household supplies.

The Trilegal team comprised partners Richa Choudhary, Bhakta Patnaik, Yogesh Singh and Ankush Goyal, while the AZB team included partners Zia Mody, Varoon Chandra, Lionel D’Almeida and Roxanne Anderson.
