Clifford Chance has advised the joint bookrunners on PT Japfa Comfeed's $350 million sustainability linked bond (SLB) issuance, Indonesia’s first SLB and the world's first by an agri-food company.

The bond, which is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, is also the first U.S.-dollar denominated sustainability-linked bond issuance from Southeast Asia.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partners Johannes Juette and Gareth Deiner.

In February, Clifford Chance also advised on Surbana Jurong Group's S$250 million ($185 million) bond offering under its $1 billion multicurrency debt issuance programme. It was the first Singapore dollar-denominated SLB and the first public SLB issuance by a Southeast Asia-based company.
