IndusLaw has counselled Indian company Mohalla Tech, which owns social media platform ShareChat and short video app Mo, on its $502 million fundraising round. The funding values Mohalla Tech at $2.1 billion.

The investors were led by Lightspeed Ventures and Tiger Global, which were represented by Gunderson Dettmer and AZB & Partners, and included Snap Inc, advised by Cooley, and Twitter, counselled by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Khaitan & Co.

Mint reported that the latest funding would be used to grow the company’s user base, strengthen the creator community on its apps and improve the company’s artificial intelligence-powered recommendation engines.

The IndusLaw team was led by partners Manish Gupta and Anubha Sital, while Jonathan C. Pentzien led the Gunderson Dettmer team.

Partners Ashwath Rau, Srinath Dasari and Nanditha Gopal led the AZB team, while the Cooley team was led by partner Ferish Patel.

Meanwhile, the Skadden team was led by partner Parveet Gandoak, while the Khaitan team was led by partner Sharad Moudgal.
