JunHe and Linklaters have advised China’s Yue Xiu Enterprises on the $656 million privatisation of Hong Kong-listed Chong Hing Bank, which was advised by Baker McKenzie.

Established in 1948, Hong Kong-headquartered Chong Hing Bank was listed on HKEx in 1994. In 2014, the bank was acquired by Yue Xiu Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Yue Xiu Group, which focuses on real estate, financial securities, and transport infrastructure.

The JunHe team was led by partner Zhang Ping and Li Yuming. The Linklaters team’s leadpartner was Gilbert Li, while the Baker McKenzie team was led by partner Dorothea Koo, supported by partner Kwun Yee Cheung.

Dechert advised CICC and CLSA as joint financial advisers to Yue Xiu.
