Khaitan & Co has advised Indian infrastructure company JSW Infrastructure on its planned 28-billion-rupee ($342.4 million) IPO, with Trilegal acting for underwriters.

The infrastructure company will issue fresh equity shares in the offering and plans to use the proceeds from the IPO to cut debt and fund capital expenditure at its units, Reuters reported, adding that JSW Infra has ports in states including Maharashtra, Odisha and Karnataka and has an installed cargo handling capacity of 153.43 million tonnes per annum.

The Khaitan team was led by Sudhir Bassi, executive director of the firm’s capital markets practice group, and partners Madhur Kohli and Chirayu Chandani, while partner Richa Choudhary led the Trilegal team.
