Ben McQuhae, a former partner at Jones Day, has set up a boutique firm called Ben McQuhae & Co in Hong Kong that focuses on ESG and technology.

McQuhae was most recently a partner at GPS McQuhae, a firm he co-founded in 2018 after leaving Jones Day. Following his departure, GPS McQuhae will be known as Georgiou Payne Stewien.

McQuhae’s new firm will provide legal advice to multinational companies, small and medium enterprises, investors, entrepreneurs and startups on transactions and initiatives in climate, biodiversity, and innovation. Apart from McQuhae himself, the firm has two associates - Sean Soo and Jessica Ha.   

McQuhae is also a founder of Angel Attorneys, a programme providing legal support to early-stage tech start-ups, and the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. He earlier worked with Dentons and the legacy Fulbright & Jaworski.
