Indian boutique law firm Goswami & Nigam has opened an office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, in a bid to cater to clients in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

The UAE is now the seventh-largest investor in India, according to the latter’s commerce ministry, and the Middle Eastern nation is also India’s second-largest export destination. The potential for legal work is beginning to draw Indian law firms there, including Singularity Legal, a Mumbai-headquartered firm focused on dispute resolution, which opened an office in the UAE in March.

Founded by Himanshu Goswami and Nishant Nigam, Goswami & Nigam specialises in company Law, corporate advisory, foreign direct investment, cross-border transactions, intellectual property laws and dispute resolution.

"Many of our Indian clients have been expanding their operations globally, including in the UAE. As a result, there is a huge demand from our clients, particularly in the Middle East. Our presence in Dubai will cater to their legal and commercial requirements,” said Himanshu Goswami in a statement.
