Indian law firm DLS Law Offices has separated from HSA Advocates and will operate as an independent entity going forward. HSA and DLS merged in May 2019.

Founded in late 2018 by former Azure Power GC Dipti Lavya Swain, DLS has two partners and eight lawyers across its offices in New Delhi and Bhubaneshwar, with Swain resuming his role of managing partner. It plans to reopen its Mumbai office shortly, and also hire former Odisha government official Dibakar Swain as partner and senior adviser.

Dipti Lavya Swain specialises in private equity, M&A, securities law, insolvency laws and corporate law and has more 13 years of work experience. Prior to joining Azure Power, he was a partner at Luthra and Luthra (now L&L Partners).
