About the Course Director

Lee Kwok Weng, B.Eng. (Mech.) (S’pore), M.Sc. (Ind.Eng) (NUS), DipBA (NUS), GradDip
Mktg. (MIS), LLB (Hons) (Bucks), LLM(Lond), Barrister-at-Law, Advocate & Solicitor,
Supreme Court of Singapore, Accredited Arbitrator & Principal Mediator, MMIS, FIES,
Honorary Legal Advisor, IES & SISO, is a senior lawyer, currently in private legal practice and running his own law firm.
 

Lee brings with him considerable legal, industrial project and contract management and administration experience. He has worked for almost 12 years managing and administering engineering and construction project contracts. Lee served as an engineer in the government service and later as a senior project manager in a leading multinational engineering and construction corporation serving the energy, bio-fuel, oil and gas industries onshore and offshore.

As a lawyer, he has more than 21 years of legal and litigation experience, specializing in Business Contracts, Negligence, Information Technology Safety & Health and Construction, Engineering & Building Laws, as well as Construction Claims. He is also actively involved in mediation and arbitration.

An accredited Principal Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, Lee has also successfully mediated many building, construction and engineering disputes over the years. Further as an accredited Arbitrator has acquired considerable experience in arbitration both sitting as an arbitrator or representing clients in arbitration proceedings especially in construction, engineering and building disputes.
