UK law firm HFW has bolstered its Indonesia offering by formalising an alliance with Rahayu & Partners in Jakarta.

Rahayu & Partners was founded by Sri Rahayu (Ayu), who will become a partner at HFW. He will work closely with Haydn Dare, who is based in Jakarta, and  and Singapore-based partner Brian Gordon.

Ayu is an expert in banking finance and corporate transactions, while Dare specialises in M&A transactions, structuring foreign investment and in energy and mineral resources, infrastructure and project finance. Gordon advices on corporate finance, cross-border M&A transactions and project finance.

This alliance will focus on providing services across banking, finance and capital markets, corporate commercial, construction, dispute resolution and IP, alongside HFW's core sectors, which include aerospace, commodities and shipping.

Last year, HFW entered into a formal association with Chinese shipping firm Wintell & Co., and expanded its reach in the Middle East after forging alliances with local law firms in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Kuwait.

Through this association, HFW now has 104 lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region.
