Goodwin Procter has hired corporate lawyers Andrew Yang and Christopher Yu as partners in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Yang, who joins Goodwin Procter from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy’s Hong Kong office, specialises in M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions. He also advises clients on leveraged finance and fund formation matters.

Yu works with clients on M&A, take-private transactions, pre-IPO and cornerstone investments, capital markets, and regulatory and compliance matters in Hong Kong. Yu joins Goodwin Procter from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton’s Hong Kong office.

Goodwin Procter’s Hong Kong branch, which opened in November 2008, now consists of 11 lawyers, including five partners.
