Malaysian law firm Tay & Partners has elevated Yip Jia Hui and Wong Weng Yew to its partnership, and hired Mohd Khairil Ezane as a partner from Lee Hishamuddin Allen & Gledhill in Kuala Lumpur.  

Yip, a partner focusing on aviation and banking and finance, specialises in corporate, commercial and financial related work. Her experience includes asset financing and leasing, with particular emphasis on the aviation industry. She has represented airlines, financial institutions, lessors, lessees and credit support providers in various lease and finance transactions as well as related regulatory matters.

Wong practises in the area of corporate and commercial litigation, primarily in banking and insolvency, enforcement of debt instruments, land law and recovery of banking facilities pertaining to both conventional banking and Islamic finance. He has also advised financial institutions on complex recovery issues at appellate stages and has been involved in regional arbitrations.

Banking and finance partner Khairil’s broad practice experiences include advising on corporate finance, capital markets including bond and sukuk issues, private finance initiative, company and debt restructuring, Islamic and conventional financing transactions, development of Islamic financing products and templates for Islamic financing documentation.
