Client is the insurance firm of choice for many of the largest insurers and reinsurers in the Hong Kong and Singapore markets and across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Role
Focus for the current position is to work predominantly on marine and offshore energy insurance matters.
Candidates with hands on experience of marine insurance disputes and coverage issues, marine casualty response and dry shipping defence work would be preferred. However, candidates with strong international market/hands-on expertise in other classes of insurance business, but who are keen to develop in the marine and offshore energy sector, will also be considered.
The work will be international in nature, involving advice and arbitration in Singapore, London and elsewhere in the Asia-Pacific region.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- 5+ years' PQE
- Demonstrable technical experience gained within a strong marine and/or offshore energy insurance practice;
- Ideally experience of marine insurance work and coverage advice
- Energetic about client contact and keen to play a full role in practice development
- Excellent academic background
- Chinese language skills are not required for this role
