The Work
The team acts predominantly for lenders (domestic and international banks and, increasingly, credit funds) on cutting-edge cross-border transactions across all of Asia including:
- private and public leveraged and acquisition finance
- structured and margin lending
- real estate finance
- mezzanine and holdco financing
- bridge-to-bond and debt/bond hybrid finance, super-senior revolving credit facilities
- some distressed, restructuring and insolvency work (alongside our R&I team)
Key Requirements:
- Finance experience
- Excellent drafting and mastery of the fundamentals of contract and finance-related law
- You work independently, with minimal supervision, but you can spot a red flag and you know when to escalate or ask for help
- Commercial instinct (you sense what really matters to clients) and entrepreneurial spirit (you are interested in marketing, business development and relationship building)
- Supervising and managing junior lawyers, strong team player
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- No language skills required
