Ashurst has hired Waltter Kulvik as a partner in its corporate transaction practice in Singapore from Sidley Austin, where he was a counsel.

Kulvik specialises in cross-border M&A and corporate work, focusing on infrastructure, power and real estate asset classes. His practice also involves joint ventures, mainly for Asian clients on joint ventures with western businesses, reorganisations and restructurings as well as venture capital.

Kulvik started his career at Morrison & Foerster before working at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher White & Case. He then moved to Sidley in 2015 as a counsel.

ADTLaw, Ashurst’s formal law alliance in Singapore, recently hired Michelle Phang as co-lead of its corporate practice.
