Magic Circle firm Clifford Chance has recruited Michihiro Nishi as a corporate partner in its Tokyo office from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he was a counsel.

Nishi spent more than 11 years at Skadden after starting his career at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. His practice covers private equity, investments,  and corporate governance.

His notable recent work has included advising on Joyson Safety Systems’ $1.6 billion acquisition of Takata.

At Clifford Chance, he joins the corporate team led by partners Tatsuhiko Kamiyama and Natsuko Sugihara.
