Clyde & Co has hired Benjamin Hirasawa as a partner and head of its APAC hospitality practice. Hirasawa, who will initially be based in Singapore, joins from DLA Piper.

Hirasawa’s recent experience includes advising on hospitality projects in number of countries, including Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines and Australia. His core practice focuses on advising real estate, corporate and hospitality clients on international business transactions, including private equity financings, joint ventures, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and the acquisition, development, operation, and disposition of hotels, commercial and residential projects and master planned communities.

Also joining Clyde & Co is senior associate Jonathan Lynch, who previously headed the Myanmar desk at DLA Piper. Hirasawa’s arrival takes the number of Clyde partners in the APAC region to 52.
