Anglo-American firm DLA Piper has strengthened its Bangkok office with the hire of Waranon Vanichprapa and Samata Masagee as partners from Baker McKenzie and Weerawong, Chinnavat & Partners, respectively.

Samata specialises in cross-border M&A and disposals for TMT, energy, agricultural and financial institutions. In 2018, she was named as one of ALB’s Asia 40 Under 40.

Meanwhile, Waranon primarily handles cross-border financing and structured finance with particular focus on interbank lending, export credit financing and debt restructuring.

With the hire of Samata and Waranon, DLA’s Bangkok office now has six partners.
