Janice Yau Garton, a former of counsel at UK firm DLA Piper, has joined Stephenson Harwood as a real estate partner in Hong Kong.

Garton is the second senior real estate lawyer to leave DLA Piper’s Hong Kong office in a matter of days. Partner Wayne Ma recently joined Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.

Garton, who had been with DLA Piper since 2005, advises institutional investors, and funds and hospitality groups, on cross-border real estate transactions.

With the arrival of Garton, Stephenson Harwood’s Hong Kong office now has 26 partners.
