HK: Conyers hires former Carey Olsen partner

Offshore law firm Conyers has added insolvency and disputes specialist Michael Makridakis as a partner in Hong Kong.

Makridakis joins from litigation finance firm Delta Capital Partners Management, where he was a managing director. He joined the company in 2019 from offshore firm Carey Olsen, where he had been a partner.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in 2013, Makridakis worked at two other offshore firms: Walkers and Ogier. His practice areas include cross-border insolvencies and restructurings, investment funds, shareholders’ rights and remedies, and directors’ duties.

With the addition of Makridakis, Conyers now has 15 partners in Hong Kong.

Eversheds Asia lit head to lead Conyers’ HK disputes practice

Offshore law firm Conyers has hired veteran disputes lawyer Mark Yeadon as its head of Hong Kong disputes and restructuring practice from Eversheds Sutherland, where he led the Asia litigation and dispute management practice.
