White & Case has, through its Indonesian alliance firm Witara Cakra Advocates (WCA), hired two banking and capital markets partners from Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT), Herbert Smith Freehills’ associated law firm in the country.

The departures of Kristo Molina and Fajar Ramadhan from HBT follow that of Adrian Pranata, who joined Linklaters’ alliance firm Widyawan & Partners.

Molina, who specialises in Indonesian equity capital markets, has experience advising IPOs, listings, rights issues and private placements as well as strong ties with international financial institutions.

Fajar, whose practice focuses on Indonesian banking and debt capital markets, advises clients on international financing, debt restructuring, project finance, international bond offerings, as well as security structures and enforcement.

“Indonesia is a strategically important market for White & Case in Asia and we are ranked tier 1 among international law firms,” said White & Case partner and head of Asia Eric Berg, in a statement. “Kristo and Fajar will strengthen WCA’s capabilities in Jakarta and our ability to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for clients on cross-border deals involving Indonesia,” he added.

In May, White & Case named WCA as its associate firm in Jakarta after ending its previous alliance with MD & Partners.
