Luthra and Luthra Law Offices has added significantly to its white-collar crime and disputes capabilities with the addition of veteran partner Samarjit Gajendra Pattnaik along with a team of two associates in Delhi.

Pattnaik previously led the highly regarded white-collar crime practice at disputes-focused firm Karanjawala & Company. Having been with Karanjawala ever since joining the bar in 2002, Pattnaik’s practice also includes complex commercial litigations, arbitration, winding-up proceedings, and consumer disputes.

Pattnaik will be joined by managing associate Puneet Relan and associate Kashish Seth, making this the first prominent group move – a growing trend since the beginning of last year.

“Samarjit’s move to Luthra and Luthra represents a significant step in the Firm’s expansion of its white-collar crime practice,” said Luthra’s managing partner Harry Chawla in a statement.

Pattnaik is one of the most prominent names in India’s white-collar and disputes landscape, having acted on several high-profile cases in the last decade.
