Korean law firm Yoon & Yang has hired senior prosecutors Kwon Oh-sung and Yoon Hee-sik as partners in the firm’s white collar criminal defense team in Seoul.

Kwon, the former chief prosecutor at the Goyang branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutor's Office, has more than two decades of experience in prosecution, and his work includes serving as the lead prosecutor in tax corruption cases against public officials, as well as the Gyeonggi Bank scandal. At Yoon & Yang, he will advise on a wide range of issues such as financial and tax related crimes, capital market investigations, Korea Fair Trade Commission investigations, and general corporate advisory services.

Meanwhile, Yoon is the former deputy chief prosecutor of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors’ Office. He specialises in special investigations and has a experience in the fields of white collar, finance and tax investigations, particularly in financial market crimes. He also served as an investigation planning officer at the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office’s anti-corruption department in 2015, where he oversaw anti-corruption investigations.

Yoon & Yang currently has more than 40 partners in its white collar criminal defense practice group, including two former prosecutors general, as well as the former chief prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office.
